African Diaspora Network is honored to host the African Diaspora Investment Symposium 2025 (ADIS25) at The George Washington University (GWU). We are excited to bring this signature event back to its original location in Washington, D.C. for its 10th anniversary.
Based in Foggy Bottom, the heart of Washington DC, GW is located only a few steps from the nation’s most prominent attractions and institutions including the White House, the World Bank, The State Department, and the National Mall. For over 200 years, GW has attracted faculty, students, innovators, heads of states, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders from around the world to meaningfully engage, collaborate, and to envision a better world.
The George Washington University, an independent academic institution chartered by the Congress of the United States in 1821, dedicates itself to furthering human well-being. The University values a student-focused community stimulated by cultural and intellectual diversity.
As GWU shares, students come to Washington D.C. to explore the past and to chart new futures. They come to ask questions and to seek expert answers. They come to demand change and to be that change.
We couldn’t imagine a more appropriate space to convene our network of Africans, diasporans, and allies of Africa on Beyond Remittances: The Evolving Role of Africans in the Diaspora in Unlocking Transformational Investments.
