Key Takeaways
The African Diaspora Network was front and center at the UNGA 2024, proud to be adding its voice to the talks driving the future of Africa. Our CEO, Almaz Negash, spoke at the Women in Philanthropy and Impact Africa (WIPIA) Launch, where she joined other visionary leaders in underlining the transformative impact gender-lens philanthropy will have. Almaz shared ADN’s vision: How leadership by women, together with strategic investments in education, health, and technology, is core to unlocking Africa’s potential.
The ADN stood shoulder to shoulder with world leaders at the summit, showcasing our work at the core of digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and community-driven development. At the Next 3 Billion Summit, it was an honor to align with conversations on the next wave in Africa’s digital economy, echoing the very principles of our BAF and ABLE programs that empower entrepreneurs to lead with innovation.
Also running parallel was the reception of CorpsAfrica UNGA, vibrating with the beat of ADN’s commitment to community-led initiative building resilience. Our support for youth leadership and bottom-up development has always been and will continue to be at the heart of everything we do. Every event reminded us that the African diaspora is a force to be reckoned with and inspires change, and it is an honor to stand at the helm with ADN.
