Builders of Africa’s Future 2024 Graduation

On behalf of ADN, we were honored to host the Builders of Africa’s Future 2024 Graduation, which took place virtually on Thursday, August 29, and was hosted by the African Management Institute. During the event, our sixteen Builders reflected on their learning journeys and shared their progress and key takeaways from the program. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and excited to see the impact they will continue to make in their communities!

In her keynote remarks, Sister Jane Wakahiu from the Conrad Hilton Foundation shared:

“As entrepreneurs in Africa, your role is critical in disrupting poverty and creating pathways of opportunities. You play a role is crucial in shifting the global narratives about Africa as a continent of possibility. Everything Africa to be seen not as a continent of challenges but as a continent of opportunities. A place where innovation thrives because you are innovators yourselves. You are at the forefront of this transformation.”

She reminded the entrepreneurs that they are part of a growing and vibrant community as African entrepreneurs. “Please lean on to each other, support and learn from each other and separate each other’s successes. And definitely there will be others who will join you and support your work”.

We thank the funders of Builders of Africa’s Future, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF), and our academic partner, Africa Management Institute.

Congratulations to the entrepreneurs, and best wishes on your journey!
