Partnerships for Africa

Mobilizing Talent and Resources for Impact

As ADIS advances toward its next chapter in Nairobi in 2027, this fireside chat explores how strategic, trust-based partnerships can transform today’s collaborations into long-term, systems-level impact. The conversation will highlight the critical role of partnerships in mobilizing talent, knowledge, and resources across borders.

With a focus on brain circulation and the reality that more Africans migrate within Africa than outside the continent, the session will examine how intra-African and diaspora-linked partnerships can strengthen institutions, expand opportunity, and unlock sustainable investment. Speakers will share practical examples of how collaboration has enabled talent mobility, research exchange, market access, and enterprise growth.

The discussion will also explore how aligned partnerships can better connect capital, policy, and innovation with Africa’s development priorities, ensuring that skills, ideas, and investment flow where they are most needed. Finally, the session will reflect on how relationships forged at ADIS26 can serve as a launchpad for deeper engagement at ADIS27 in Nairobi, advancing shared ownership, local capacity, and lasting prosperity across Africa and its global diaspora.
