Now in its sixth year, the list recognizes the incredible achievements of African women leaders who are making substantial contributions across various corporate sectors.

Almaz Negash, the founder of African Diaspora Network (ADN), continues to be a trailblazer in Silicon Valley. Recently recognized as one of the 12 inaugural members of President Biden’s Advisory Council on African Diaspora Engagement in the United States, Almaz leverages over 25 years of experience in international trade, business management, and social innovation. She is dedicated to building successful partnerships with a variety of stakeholders to improve the lives of people across Africa. Currently, Almaz is focused on developing strategies to provide access to capital for Black entrepreneurs and innovators. Her influence was acknowledged when she was named one of Silicon Valley’s 100 Outstanding Women of Influence.
Kedest Tesfagiorgis is making waves as the Deputy Director of Global Partnerships & Grand Challenges at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. With 20 years of experience addressing global health and development challenges, Kedest leads the Grand Challenges program, which supports science and technology projects worldwide to foster innovation and sustainable change. Under her leadership, Grand Challenges has evolved into a global network that believes innovation is key to progress.
Dr. Josephine Fubara is known for her groundbreaking work as the Global Head of Therapeutics, R&D at Bayer. She manages a team dedicated to developing innovations in pain, cardio, allergy, cough/cold, and digestive health. Josephine’s leadership extends beyond her business acumen, as she is a committed advocate for women in science and healthcare, contributing to equity and economic growth through her role in Advancing Women Executives.
